Board of Library Trustees
The Board of Trustees of the Thomas Crane Public Library exists according to the provisions of Chapter 202 of the Acts of 1881 and Chapter 347 of the Acts of 1888. The Board exercises the powers and authority and assumes the responsibilities delegated to it under these laws and according to its own By-Laws.
There are six trustees appointed by the mayor for a term of one year. The Board of Trustees usually meets on the second Monday of each month, except for July and August. Meetings begin at 9:15 a.m. and are usually held in the Main Library Quincy Room. Check the Calendar of Events for exact meeting dates and locations.
