This is the fourth of four blog posts to help turn you on to music that has all been released in the last 30 days. This one highlights albums for the musically adventurous! The third post featured some of the recent Jazz and Modern Creative releases. The second post focused on Country, Blues, Bluegrass, & Folk releases and the first post highlighted some smoking rock and pop releases.   • Pink [Deluxe Edition] by Boris
    Alternative Metal. This tenth anniversary edition a second disc called Forbidden Songs that adds nine unreleased tracks from the original sessions.
  • Where the Light Shines Through [Deluxe Edition} by Switchfoot
    Post-Grunge. The California outfit successfully balances urgent dance-rock, spiritual balladry, and hip-hop-influenced grooves on their tenth album.
  • Epic & Ting by Bulby York
    Dancehall. The former Fat Eyes member and producer makes an exciting solo debut with Sizzla, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Beres Hammond, and many others.
  • 1000 Watts by Flowering Inferno and Quantic
    Dub. After a six-year break, this side project returns with a joyous, sensual set of rootsy reggae, dub, and cumbia.
