Join us on Saturdays for a variety of special programs for all ages.
Registration may be required and limited to Quincy residents. Please see the individual events for details. Monthly Saturday programs do not run during July and August.
First Saturdays - Saturday Fun For Little Ones
10:00 a.m. for ages 0-4
Each Saturday Fun For Little Ones is a different music program for babies and toddlers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required but our meeting room does have a maximum capacity of 125 people. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.
May 11th: Musician Sarah Gardner
This program is on the second Saturday of May.
Second Saturdays - Storytime With Cheryl
10:00 a.m. for ages 2-5
Join storyteller Cheryl Dunford for stories, songs, rhymes and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.
May 4th - This program is on the first Saturday of May.
Third Saturdays - Mad Science
10:00 a.m. for ages 4-8
REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Begins on the 1st Monday of each month.
Each month we have Mad Science of Greater Boston join us to teach kids about a difference science topic using interactive activities and experiments. Adults must stay in the building during the program.

Fourth Saturdays
On the fourth Saturdays of each month we'll be presenting a variety of programs for older children. There'll be game days, craft programs and more, so check back each month to see what we have going on.
April 27th - 10:00 a.m. to noon: Manga and Anime Drawing Workshop
Main Library Meeting Room
Ages 8 and older
REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Registration begins Monday, April 1st.
Massachusetts artist Shauna Leva will teach a drawing workshop focusing on Manga and Anime style drawing techniques. Learn about composition and how to effectively tell a story in a picture. Then, beginning at the top, learn how to draw full face and profile heads, bodies in many positions, hands, feet and clothing in many styles. Register online, in person or by calling 617-376-2411. May 25th - 10:00 a.m.: Introduction to Origami
Main Library Meeting Room
Ages 8 and older
REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Registration begins Monday, May 6th.
This introduction to origami will cover how to read origami diagrams, making origami models that move, and some interesting mathematics that go along with origami. No previous experience necessary. Paper and diagrams will be provided. Taught by Andrew Anselmo, origami artist and performer. Register online, in person or by calling 617-376-2411.
