Currently On Display at the Main Library

On the First Floor

  • New Items: New books, both fiction and non fiction, can be found near the first floor elevator. New audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs can be found in clear display racks to the left of the check out desk.
  • Staff Picks: at the entrance to the first floor Fiction Room, near the Coddington Street entrance
  • Autumn Books: at the entrance to the Fiction Room, opposite side of the case holding Staff Picks
  • Something to Keep You Up at Night: Spooky Sounds & Horror Movies: DVD/CD display at the back of the AV Room
  • New DVDs: on the low round display in front of the check out desk
  • Scarier Than Your Overdue Books: Shocking Stories Your Heart Won't Be Able to Take!: on the shelf across from the check out desk
  • In the News: Resources That Give Background on Current Events: on the low round display near check out desk
  • Non-Fiction for Fiction Lovers: on the shelves near the teen area, on the side of the stairs
  • Grab 'N' Go: on the first floor near the check out desk. These are popular items that cannot be placed on hold and can be checked out for 14 days with no renewals. 

On the Second Floor

  • Tools for Job Success: on the low round display near the mineral exhibit and the conversation zone computers
  • Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15)/Historical Horror: on top of the reference shelves, near the top of the stairs
  • Hiking and Camping: in the Travel quarry
