Historical and Architectural Survey
Quincy, Massachusetts
The following "Historic House" information is the product of a comprehensive survey and inventory of the cultural resources of the City of Quincy in terms of their historical and architectural importance. It contains over 600 properties or locations identified as significant by preservation consultants. The survey was undertaken in conjunction with the Massachusetts Historical Commission, the City of Quincy Department of Planning and Community Development, and the Quincy Historical Commission. The original survey was published in 1986.
A Survey Overview provides extensive background information about each historical period, citing specific examples of residential, institutional, and industrial architecture from each period.
We are working to make this information accessible on our website. This is a work in progress. If the additional information on a listed property is not yet available, please call 617-376-1316 or email quref@ocln.org for a copy of the original document.
