We Need Volunteers!
Would you like to help out? We’re looking for volunteers who are willing to help serve customers in the bookstore. If you can spare a few hours of your time, please complete the Volunteer Sign-Up Form and someone will contact you about volunteering.
If you have books, CDs, or DVDs in good condition that you no longer want, please consider donating them to the Friends for resale in the bookstore. It's a great way to clean out your house and support the library at the same time.
Please bring your donations to the Main Library. On Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., you may bring them to the Shipping & Receiving entrance at the back of the library on Spear Street. Ring the bell for admittance. If you would like to drop off materials after 4:30 p.m., call 617-376-1301 to arrange a drop-off time. You may also drop off donations at the bookstore during open hours (Saturdays, 10-4).
We welcome donations in good condition of:
- books for adults, teens, and children
- books on CD and books on tape
- music on CD
- DVDs, computer & video games
We do not accept:
- outdated reference material such as old encyclopedias
