INTERLIBRARY LOAN REQUEST FORM

You must be a registered Old Colony Library Network borrower to use this form. To request an item via Interlibrary Loan, please follow these steps:

1. Search the online OCLN library catalog first to find the item you want.
2. If you find the item in the OCLN catalog, you can place a hold for it yourself online. You will need your library card number and your PIN, and can select any OCLN library as a pickup location. For help searching and placing holds in the catalog, see Catalog Help and Catalog FAQ.
3. If you are looking for a magazine or newspaper article, try searching our online magazine & newspaper databases--the article you want may be available there in full text. For assistance searching the databases, call the Reference Department at 617-376-1316.
4. OPTIONAL: Search the Virtual Catalog and request the item there, if available. You will need your library card number and you may select any OCLN library as a pickup location. 5. If the item you want is not in the OCLN catalog, use the online Interlibrary Loan request form below.
6. If you are requesting a book, audiobook, sound recording, video or other item that will be borrowed and returned, select Book (Returnable) as the Request Type; if you are requesting a magazine or newspaper article, select Photocopy.
7. Please submit a separate request for each item you want. You may submit up to five requests at one time.
8. We will confirm receipt of your request via e-mail within 48 hours. When the item is available, we will you notify you by e-mail, phone or mail. All requested items must be picked up at a Quincy library location; they cannot be sent to a non-Quincy library.
