  • Mass211’S Child Care Services and Financial Payment Assistance – The Department of Early Education & Care offers financial assistance to eligible families in the form of a subsidy. EEC will pay for a portion of a family’s childcare expense based off of their household size and income. Due to limited funding, there is a waitlist at this time. Mass211 is able to screen families for eligibility and place them on the statewide centralized waitlist directly over the phone. For convenience, there is also an application made available online that can be submitted at any time. Mass211 can also help families identify and locate childcare programs in their area. Our childcare services remain free and confidential for everyone in the Commonwealth.   • Mental Health Disaster Distress Hotline
    The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers a 24/7 hotline dedicated to providing free, multilingual and confidential crisis support during the current COVID-19 public health crisis.   • South East Recovery Learning Community is an entirely peer-run organization dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy by providing opportunities and resources to assist individuals in finding their own path to mental health recovery. Due to COVID-19, their services have moved online.
  • New Directions Counseling Center (Interfaith Social Services) has been providing compassionate and skilled mental health counseling services to the South Shore since 1947. Nursing Home Family Resource Line

The Baker-Polito Administration has announced the launch of the Nursing Home Family Resource Line, a dedicated telephone line that will connect family members of nursing home and rest home residents with information and resources they need. The line is staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week. Families can call the line at 617-660-5399.

They also have a 24/7 hotline (877) 565-8860 is a peer support phone service run by trans people for trans and questioning peers. Call them if you need someone trans to talk to, even if you’re not in crisis or if you’re not sure you’re trans.

Their center offers identity-based social support groups, mental and behavioral health programs, and a walk-in clinic. Just looking for a place to drop-in, grab a snack, play some games, do some art, or simply decompress? Their community center is open to LGBTQ+ youth ages 22 and under.
