All Summer Long
This summer from June 23rd through August 31st track your reading on your computer, phone or other mobile device with our new summer reading game. Sign up, log books, and complete challenges. As you add books and complete challenges you will earn online badges and online raffle tickets. We’ll have a drawing for the raffle prizes the first week in September. We have two programs one for babies and young children up to age 6 and the other for ages 7-13. Teens are invited to join our teen summer reading program.

Bob the Builder Marathon
Friday, July 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Main Library Children's Room
Stop by the Children's Room any time today and check out some of your faorite Bob the builder episodes. Use our small building blocks to do your own building while you watch.

Pajama Storytime
Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Mail Library Meeting Room
Join Mrs. Miller for a 3 week series of pajama storytimes designed especially for children ages 2-5 and their parents. Join us for 45 minutes of interactive stories, songs, and rhymes. This program is designed to be enjoyed by families. This is a great time for you and your children to sing, dance, listen, and talk with each other.

Thursday, July 13th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Wollaston Branch Library  
Bring your preschooler in for some building and engineering fun! We'll be using blocks and DUPLO to build towers and other structures, making marble runs, and tying to build a bridge that can hold a toy car.

Mother Goose and Little Bo Peep
Thursday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m.
Ages 0-4 with an adult
Main Library Front Lawn
Join children's librarians Jane Miller and Gail Columbare on the lawn as they present Mother Goose and Little Bo Peep: a Nursery Rhyme and Song Extravaganza. This is a fun-filled program of stories and songs for children ages 4 months to 4 years old accompanied by an adult. This program is especially geared toward very young children. The show will go on come rain or shine; in case of inclement weather we will move into the large meeting room. Meeting room space is limited to the first 125 people; when we reach capacity we will close the doors.

Teddy Bear Storytime
Tuesday, July 26th at 7:00 p.m.

Music and Movement with Rubi
Friday, July 28th at 10:00 a.m.
Ages 0-4 with an adult
Sing and dance with Rubi Luchauco! Put on your favorite dancing shoes and join us for this lively mix of music and movement!

Bring your preschooler in to do some of our favorite science activities from the past year of Preschool Discovery. Did you have fun mixing colorful baking soda and vinegar? Did you miss out on making light-up constellations? Come in and try out those activities and more! Drop in any time during this hour of science.

Creature Teachers: Live Animal Program
Thursday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m.
Ages 3+ with an adult

Wallabies, kinkajous, and skinks, oh my! Join an educator from Creature Teachers as we learn all about animals around the world. Come take a trip around the world with us and find out where our live animals come from. This program explores the diverse habitats of our planet and the animals that live within them. See why some animals are well suited for certain areas and why some are not. We cannot promise what animals may be part of this program but we can promise that everyone who wants to will get a chance to touch at least some of the animals. This program will be held outdoors in the shade of the trees, weather permitting.

Come drop by to play some family board games. We'll have some old favorites and some you might not have played before. Try some word association with Codenames, press your luck with Tem-Purr-A, make some wild guesses with Concept and more!

Concert with Mama Steph
Thursday, August 24th at 10:00 a.m.
Ages 0-4 with an adult
Main Library Large Meeting Room
Join Mama Steph, a Quincy favorite, for a special concert for children and their families. Join in with familiar and new songs. While the whole family will enjoy this concert, Mama Steph's music is especially suitable for preschoolers and their families.
