A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Parents:

I am pleased to share the Quincy Public Schools Summer Reading List with you. This program enhances literacy efforts in all of our elementary and middle school classrooms. These books and many others are available at the Thomas Crane Public Library. Parents should review their child's book selections to be sure that they meet the needs of their family.

The example you set through encouragement and support of your child's reading will go a long way toward meeting the high learning goals that we all share.

The summer months offer an excellent opportunity to help your child develop a love for books and reading. We encourage each child to read at least fifteen minutes a day. Please feel free to speak with your child's teacher or principal should you require assistance in planning an exciting and rewarding summer reading experience for your child.

Sincerely,
Richard DeCristofaro, Ed.D.
Superintendent
