- We’ll explore: Savings – The Smart Way to Plan Ahead. Learn proven strategies to set aside funds for your future goals, emergencies, and dreams—without feeling restricted – Budgeting Mechanics – Goals, Information, Decisions. Understand the key components of an effective budget. We’ll guide you in setting realistic goals, gathering the right financial information, and making informed spending choices – Monthly Plan – Try It, Evaluate It, Adjust It. Discover how to create a monthly plan you can actually stick to, track your progress, and make adjustments that keep you on track toward success. Tips to Make It Easy. Get simple, practical tips to streamline your budgeting and saving habits so they fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

- In this workshop, participants will understand how to budget for a mortgage, how the mortgage application process works from beginning to end, the options available to them, and the costs associated with getting a mortgage.
- UMB Pension Action Center: Thursday, Sept 18 | 10 – 11 AM | Main Library
- The Pension Action Center advocates for people who cannot locate their pension and retirement benefits. Founded in 1994 at UMass Boston’s Gerontology Institute, PAC offers free legal assistance to anyone in New England and Illinois who needs help accessing their benefits. This presentation will be hosted by Tyler Compton, PAC’s director & managing attorney. This informative session will cover all aspects of pension and retirement security, the SECURE 2.0 Act. Approximately 40 minutes, followed by a Q&A. Please join us!

- Developing a Small Business: Wednesday, Sept 24 | 6 – 7 PM | Main Library
- In this workshop, business owners will learn about the variety of business structures, banking services and products available especially for small businesses. At the end of the workshop, business owners will be able to identify the services their businesses need and build a relationship with a financial institution that meets those needs
