Fall 2025 Book Clubs from the Library!

Fall is fast approaching! Lets get ready and cozy with some recurring book clubs from the Thomas Crane Public Library!

Blue Hills Hiking Book Club meets OFF-SITE at Houghton’s Pond (840 Hillside St. in Milton, MA). Looking for a new way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with fellow readers? Join us as we take a light, three-mile hike through the beautiful Blue Hills Reservation and pause along the way to chat about the book we’re reading together. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a passionate reader, or just looking for a fun and relaxed way to meet new people, this is the perfect chance to stretch your legs and your mind. Bring water, wear comfy shoes, and come ready to talk books and enjoy nature! All are welcome — even if you didn’t finish the book! This book club leaves Houghton’s Pond promptly by 6:05 PM to ensure we finish the trail on time. This bimonthly book club will run from July to September 2025. It will tentatively resume in 2026. REGISTRATION ENCOURAGED FOR HEAD COUNT.

Break Rock Brewing Book Club: Cozy Mysteries meets OFF-SITE at Break Rock Brewing, Co. (534 Victory Rd. in Quincy, MA) on the boardwalk. This book club meets monthly on a Thursday from 7 – 8 PM. REGISTRATION ENCOURAGED FOR SEATING AVAILABILITY.

YAP – Young Adult for Parents Book Club is the Library’s NEWEST recurring Book Club at the Main Library. Parents, educators, and family members of teens are invited to join a new adults-only book club! Whether you’re a fan of contemporary YA literature or just have a teen in your life, come meet friends and enjoy light refreshments while discussing teen books. No registration required!

Rush Hour Reading Group meets bimonthly (every other month) on a Tuesday at the Main Library. Join us as we partner with Quincycles for a book discussion series to explore transportation equity, multimodal access, and how our built environment keeps us safe (or not) and connects us (or not). What can we change about our transportation system? Do we want to change? Transportation nerds and transportation novices can come together and learn from each other. No registration required!

Banned Books Club at the North Quincy Library will meet every other month from 7 – 8 PM. This bi-monthly book discussion will feature frequently challenged and banned books.
