Posture and Ergonomics – Tip & Tricks for Back and Neck Pain

In the world we live in today, so much time is spent sitting—at a desk, on our couches, at our kitchen tables—and looking at screens—our phones, computers, TVs, etc. Increased sedentary time can have negative impacts on our health, even for people who regularly go to the gym or participate in fitness classes. We’ll cover how to improve how you set up your work and leisure activities throughout the day, as well as exercises and other tips to keep your body healthy and active.

Julianne Beck, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy specializing in orthopedics and women’s health. She graduated with her doctorate in 2020 from Boston University and recently became the clinical director at Professional Physical Therapy in Quincy. Her clinical interests include helping people of all ages get back to the activities they enjoy after injury or surgery, and women’s health issues such as pregnancy/postpartum and pre/post-menopausal care.
