The Celebration continues! Wollaston 100: Petals & Pages

TCPL Events Calendar: Petals and Pages, 1940-1959, QATV, https://www.youtube.com/thomascranepubliclibrary

Wollaston Library’s Centennial Celebration continues with Wollaston 100: Petals & Pages.

Opened in January of 1923, the Wollaston Branch has been serving the Wollaston neighborhood as a library for 100 years. Out of over a dozen branch libraries in Quincy over the decades, Wollaston is the oldest of the remaining three branches – and the smallest!

On Wednesday, April 26, join us for a conversation about books from the 1940s and 1950s as we travel through the decades of Wollaston Library history. The 1940s and 1950s were a time period full of war and uncertainty. Choose any book from this time period and come ready to talk about the time period and the books we were reading as a country. If you are looking for some ideas on what to read, take a look at the Publishers Weekly bestsellers from the 1940s and 1950s.

Petals & Pages 1940 – 1959 is part of a series of three book and history discussions to celebrate 100 years of Wollaston Library.

This event will feature an accompanying floral arrangement created and donated by the Wollaston Garden Club, to be given away to one lucky attendee!
