QUINCY — Director Sara Slymon and the Thomas Crane Public Library would like to invite community members to attend the After Hours at the Crane: Friday the 13th event.

WHEN:

Friday, Oct. 13 from 6-8:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Thomas Crane Public Library, 40 Washington St.

WHAT:

Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library invite community members to join in a night of spooky fun! Explore the Main Library after hours with your friends for a haunting night you won’t forget! Enjoy live-themed music performed by The Rubin Brothers, a themed scavenger hunt, horror movie classics, trivia, a cash bar and more!

Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged as there will be a costume contest.

“After Hours is a social event that we host twice a year on a Friday night while the library is closed,” Reference Coordinator Theresa Tangney said. “Each After Hours event has a different theme, and this time it’s Friday the 13th!”

There will be snacks and a cash bar available to attendees. The event is free and open to anyone 21 years or older. Photo ID required. No exceptions.

“It’s a great opportunity for people who are new to the Quincy community to come to check out all that we have to offer in a fun and different way,” Tangney, who has managed the event since its launch, added. “We welcome and encourage anyone 21+ to join us!”
