Solar Viewing Fun!
The staff of the Thomas Crane Public Library is proud to invite community members to drop-in solar viewing events at multiple branch locations this month.
WHEN & WHERE:
- Wednesday, March 20 from 3-4:30 p.m. on the Front Lawn at the Main Library, 40 Washington St.
- Saturday, March 23 from 3-4:30 p.m. on the Front Lawn at the Main Library, 40 Washington St.
- Tuesday, March 26 from 3-4:30 p.m. at Adams Shore Library, 519 Sea St.
- Thursday, March 28 from 3-4:30 p.m. at Wollaston Library, 41 Beale St.
- Saturday, March 30 from 3-4:30 p.m. at North Quincy Library, 381 Hancock St.
WHAT:
Attendees will have the opportunity to use the library’s solar telescope and sunoculars to look for sunspots and view the movement of the sun and moon.
The event series is for all ages and is weather-dependent. No registration is required.
Eclipse viewing glasses will also be available. To learn more about the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8, visit science.nasa.gov/eclipses.
