QUINCY — Director Sara Slymon is pleased to share that the Thomas Crane Public Library will host Vocalist Marcus Johnson, next month.

WHAT:
Join members of the Thomas Crane Public Library for a Sunday afternoon concert in the historic Richardson Building, featuring classical vocalist Marcus Johnson.
This event is free to attend and no registration is required. Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the performance. Overflow parking is available in front of the Coddington Building, on Coddington Street across from the Library.
For those who prefer to watch from home, the event will also be live-streamed on YouTube, recorded, and aired on QATV at a later date.

About Marcus Johnson
Johnson is a baritone classical vocalist, organist and pianist. He serves as organist and the House Cantor and Soloist of the First Congregational Church of Fall River.
Johnson can also be heard on Lunchtime Recitals as a baritone soloist. Most recently, he performed the baritone arias in Handel’s Messiah, where he served as the section leader under the direction of Music Director and Organist Judy Conrad.
He has been invited to participate in the Massachusetts Music Educators Eastern District and All-State Choir. He has also participated in collegiate choirs for the performances of Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem and sings baritone and soloist with Quincy Choral Society.
He previously studied voice under the tutelage of doctors Tianxu Xhou and Maryte Bizinkauskas and studied organ privately with Richard Bunbury, AGO Boston Chapter.
Johnson was recently honored to audition for the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. He holds a bachelor’s degree in digital media and music from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
