QUINCY — The staff of the Thomas Crane Public Library are proud to present a movie screening of “Selma” in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, later this month.

WHAT:
Thomas Crane Public Library will be hosting a special screening of the critically acclaimed film “Selma” to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This event is a meaningful way to reflect on the struggles and triumphs of the Civil Rights Movement and to celebrate the lasting impact of Dr. King’s vision for a more just and equitable society.
“Selma” is a historical drama based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches initiated and led by civil rights activist James Bevel. The movie is rated PG-13, attendees under 13 years old should be accompanied by an adult. Hot cocoa and tea will be provided by the Thomas Crane Public Library staff. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own refreshments.
This event is free to attend and no registration is required.
